Good grief. Was it reallly 9 days ago that I last blogged. Things are quieter at work but still frantic. The show was broadcast on Monday and we all had a screening party in soho in a little cinema that apparently Woody Allen uses and top directors use to view their rushes during production. The programme was still being edited on Monday for delivery later on in the afternoon so my day was spent in the edit pointing out missing apostrophes in the captions and shopping for the party and lugging boxes of wine and beer to the venue. I didn't want to watch the show til it was on the big screen but I watched most of it during the tech review and I couldn't believe how fantastic it was. I was very proud to have worked on it and when I saw my name go up on the screen it sent shivers down my spine. So that's my second production credit but my first on telly and on prime time too! The party ended at about 11.30pm but we all wandered onto some hidden club round the corner and we drank for a bit longer. I raced off just after midnight to try to get the last train to E Croydon but managed to get to London Bridge just as it was pulling away from the platform. The very last train was in 20 minutes and was going to somewhere near-ish to my house but it was bloody delayed. Got home eventually after the train being stuck outside Grove Park for about 20 mins cos it couldn't grip the tracks. The cab driver had to drive so slowly cos it was near blizzard conditions outside.

Woke up feeling dreadful the next morning but managed to have a productive day at work. Was in the office til about 7.30pm then went straight home and straight to bed. Yesterday I went to the Book Club after finishing work late again. It was a great night but it just goes on for far too long. There was a woman on the table behind us who had obviously learnt to whisper in a helicopter and me and Katy kept turning round and tellling her to shut up, which as you can imagine had no effect whatsoever. During Waen's new character he broke out and told her to shut the fuck up so we all cheered. During the interval Felicity politely asked them to be quiet but ended up throwing them out - shame. Johnny was on the bill along with all the character people but he was doing a character too, he just chose not to wear a stupid moustache... although it was Doctor Who based so I'm not all that sure... even Robin pointed out that the line between reality and fantasy were slightly blurred. At the end of the night I had a chat with everyone, it was a bit too crammed to manouevre the albany at full capacity during the show. As a result I may be appearing on the Milk Run but it may be a blessing if I give that a miss. Katy managed to set off the fire alarm with a candle so we were all ejected just after midnight. Ended up wandering to Oxford Circus and onto the tube with Carl and after a lot of running in the freezing air and up escalators (and in contrast to Monday night) I arrived on the platform literally as the train to E Croydon was pulling in. Thank god. My dad had called me earlier to tell me not to rely on the last train home cos he saw on the news that trains to Kent might not be running due to the extreme cold weather (which hasn't really arrived just yet).

Feeling knackered today and as though the cold/flu that I have managed to stave off for the past few weeks has finally beaten me into submission. So glad that its the weekend tomorrow, but not quite sure how this week has flown by so quickly. The other programme is being edited at the moment I think and I'm hoping to pop up for 10/11 March (which coincidentally ties in with Stewart Lee's gig) but I realised my passport has run out and also I don't have a photo card driving licence so I can't fly... I must try to see if you can still go down and queue in person for a passport. We are having an away day in Glasgow pretty soon too so I'll have to get the train up on my own knowing my luck. Was supposed to be seeing H for dinner tonight to celebrate my bonus and to catch up but I just feel like everything's caught up with me and I need a rest. I am totally skint too, well, minus skint actually. I was thinking of asking for an advance but I won't. My need to move out of home is becoming more and more apparent.

I am going to leave work at the normal time tonight and possibly treat myself to fish and chips. Yummy. Shame they don't sell gravy.

I think this is all quite boring. I'll trundle on. I had a brilliant weekend in Nottingham with Dan. I left work at 4pm so I could catch the 5pm train from St. Pancras and by doing so got a first class return ticket for about £12 more than a standard one and it meant that I wouldn't get to Nottingham at 10pm and miss a whole night. We just stayed in and watched telly and had chicken casserole from ASDA (the best supermarket in the world, by miles). The next day we went shopping at about noon. We covered the whole of town in about 3 hours and stopped for lunch and that seemed to fuel us on for another 3 hours of really productive shopping. I got a pair of portable hair straighteners, half price and they are literally the same size as can of spray mount (if you know how big that is) so I am now carrying them round wherever I go. Inspired by the straigheners I used at Kerri's the other week I set about looking for new ceramic straighteners and was planning on getting a ghd pair for £80 but managed to find an equally great pair for half price £45. It made my week. Got a couple of skirts, a belt, a t-shirt (white, for a change) a pair of cowboy boots (! which I've always sworn not to get but I only tried them on for a laugh and they were £15 and looked ace), new Clinique powder (bonus time) and also a groovy mat for hair straighteners which stops them setting fire to your house if you leave them on the floor and also have a pocket in them for when I am on my travels and want to put them in my bag when they're still warm. This is what has left me overdrawn but I think I deserved it cos I haven't been shopping this year. Well done me.

We wandered through West Bridgford on Satuday night looking for a quiet bar until we got to The Southbank bar. We had a few pints and a chat and then wandered back via the chip shop but as we were on our way, we found a new bar which was really quiet and nice so popped in for a short. We've decided Dan has to come to London to stay with me so I am working on that at the moment... got chips and gravy and wandered home absolutely freezing despite parka, gloves and scarf. Sunday we went to ASDA and I bought a new video player for £35 which is ace and let's me programme things to be recorded which is an absolute joy. ASDA really does rule - especially the mammoth hypermarket on Dan's road. It's the highlight of any trip to Nottingham. No, really.

So now, I am planning trips to Amsterdam (with Kathryn), Oslo (with Jason, Mark and Poppy) and to Alicante (with Kerry) so when am I going to move out - aaaargh!!

I can't believe I've not had a chance to write a single word for my blog over the past while - since 4th Feb, blimey, doesn't time fly. Its been so busy at work and it is getting busier... it'll all be over at 8pm on 21st February and then I'll only be a bit busy. Here is a summary of the nonsense I have been up to since I last wrote.

Wed 2nd - Katy's birthday to be celebrated at Spank! (You love it)

Thurs 3rd - 28 Acts In 28 Minutes at BBC TVC then party afterwards. Like Brookes bar but better.

Fr 4th - Spank! (You Love IT) - took a couple of guys who I kind of went to school with (I went to a girls school, they went to the equivalent boys school) and accidentally snogged one of them. The wrong one.

Sat 5th - Slept.

Sun 6th - Skipped Punt & Dennis and went to the Funny Money tsunami benefit and after party.

Mon 7th - Found out I got a bonus at work for my sterling work as top comedy talent A&R

Tues 8th - Egged on Kez at the Comedy Circus and bumped into Buddy.

Wed 9th - UCL - Alex swanned off to the Brits so Rob Heeney stood in and was brilliant. The students aren't used to having a compere with material! (Apologies to AZ if you are reading this though I don't see why you would be).

Thurs 10th - Club Le Strange - was brilliant. David and Phillip were really funny.

Fri 11th - Drink with Suzanne. We discussed kissing boys.

Sat 12th - Noel at the Moose - new material, shock horror! He was brilliant and the nice man from the BBC was there...

Sun 13th - Went to Strictly Dance Fever audition with Kerry and we almost died laughing when we found out she was through!

Mon 14th - No valentines cards but then I didn't send any. I can think of a couple of people who I fancy though. Went to Unplugged and Unrehearsed. It was a strange, strange night!!

I don't think I've written about 28 acts in 28 mins... it was brilliant. The party afterwards was great fun. When we got there I walked towards the bar to get a drink, see who was about and try to locate Becky and as I was heading over I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned round and it was Trevor and Simon saying hello. I think it might have been the happiest moment of my life. I adore the pair of them. I still can't believe they know who I am never mind want to say hello. I meant to dust down my videos over the weekend but didn't get a chance.

On the train last night on the way home there were two 14 year old chavs and one of them (chav 1) sparked up on the train and rather than just ignoring them this old guy told them to put it out and then a couple of other guys got involved and he put the fag out on the chair, which annoyed the old guy even more. His mate (chav 2) did all the talking for some reason... The little twat spent the whole journey with the fag in his mouth or playing with the lighter and everyone got off towards the end of the line. Chav 2 told the other one not to light up til near the end of the line in case they got chucked off cos he didn't want to walk home so when we got to Elmers End and he lit up again I decided not to sit there and take it so I made eye contact with Chav 2 and asked him if his friend was blind... yeah. Clever. Then I pointed out the no smoking signs (do you see what I did there?!) and told Chav 1 to put the fag out unless he wants to get off and smoke it. Chav 2 said his mate had put it out, which he hadn't, so I said something sarcastic and made Chav 1 show me the extinguished cigarette. It was out and the situation had been contained. No-one else piped up and I only really did it cos I knew they were a bit weak anyway but I am still proud of myself. If they'd been any older or bigger I'd have just moved carriages.

I think that's enough for now.

And in the morning when I woke, there was no Antonio
Just some money that he'd left for the memory of me
And oh beautiful guitar that's what really broke my heart
Had been stolen by the two faced lothario...

Oh my beautiful guitar, on and on I go til I find you...
My beautiful guitar, on and on I go til I find you...

It had been stolen by the dirty two faced lover Bastardo.

Well so much for leaving bloody work at 7.15pm, I'll be lucky to get out at 8.15pm at this rate. Did I say I love my job? I take it all back. These last few weeks have been an absolute bloody nightmare and I don't care what *anyone* says tomorrow, I am leaving at 5.30pm and they don't like it them tough bloody luck.

And if my mum starts on me when I get in then I am in danger of having a nervous breakdown. I am getting an assistant tomorrow but rather than someone I suggested I end up with someone who is going to be f*cking useless. I think I'm quiet sometimes but this lady takes the biscuit. She normally does sales so its not like she's shy, and she's so f*cking slow!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!

I really really need a drink. I am in *such* a bad mood.

NATHAN BARLEY exclusive details.

TX - Channel 4 - FRIDAY 11 FEBRUARY

The first in a new six-part comedy series written by Charlie Brooker and Chris Morris.

Nathan Barley is 26. He is a Webmaster, guerrilla filmmaker, screenwriter, DJ and in his own words, a "self-facilitating media node". He is convinced he is the epitome of urban cool and therefore secretly terrified he might not be, which is why he reads Sugar Ape Magazine - his bible of cool.

Dan Ashcroft writes searing columns for Sugar Ape. He's considered astonishingly cool, but only by those he despises. He is surrounded by idiots and practically worshipped by Nathan (whom he considers to be their king). He is 34. Why has he failed to move on?

Claire Ashcroft, 27, is Dan's sister. Like Dan she despises "cool". She hasn't met Nathan yet, but like him she is a film-maker. Unlike him she despises novelty, trash, irony and gadgets. She is furious that no one will fund her hard-hitting documentary about a choir of reformed junkies.

Nathan, Dan and Claire work in the industrial conversions of Hosegate. They are about to become spliced together in a three way split.
Claire no longer listens to Dan - which is a shame since he'd be the best person to warn her about Nathan.
Claire is right about Dan; Dan is right about Nathan; Nathan is just wrong. He's an absolute fucking tool.
