Oh my god, I've just found out that Harry Thompson has died. How incredibly sad. He produced Newman & Baddiel in pieces, probably one of the best comedy shows *ever* made. In my opinion. As well as something called Have I Got News For You...

As I was walking up Holloway Road on the way to the station yesterday morning, in the rain, a big coach drove past. It suddenly dawned on me that I was in danger of getting splashed but then realised the coach had gone more or less past me. However, it'd not gone the whole way past and its back wheels went through a puddle and completely drenched one side of me. I was so embarrassed but kept walking, mopping myself down with my scarf. Water was literally dripping down my face. It was quite funny but I was annoyed that my hair had got wet. But only half of my hair so I looked kind of ridiculous. I wasn't annoyed enough to turn back home though. Proof that I can laugh at myself.
People keep asking me about the gig I went to so if you are going to, please don't cos I'm not going to tell anyone and I don't want anyone to be offended. I'm sure I'll tell everyone one day and we can all look back and laugh but until then, my lips are sealed. I won't bother blogging things like that in the future, or I will off-blog and start a new secret blog - aha..! You'll find the answer quite dull anyway. At least this way there is an air of mystery surrounding it, making it seem cooler than it actually is.
I might be going to Glasgow for a day and night on Thursday although my boss is trying to get me on the plane but I only very recently had a bad plane dream so I'm not keen on it. Not when I can get the train and be a few hours later. I'd rather arrive calm than a nervous wreck. I must go and see a hypnotist about it... Zena is sposed to be learning but she's not started yet. Went to the H&C with Michelle last night to see the Comedy Tank and ended up staying out til midnight with Nick and Dave. Had something of a minor hangover this morning but nothing even on the same scale as the day of our first radio recording. We have thought of two more things to do over Xmas.
- Arts and crafts day
- John Hughes films day
I like these two ideas a great deal. I have been looking for a green scarf everywhere so now I have the answer. Knit one myself. Rock on. We can all bring along clothes that we don't wear and mix and match and customise them and stuff. It should be ace. We are going to pool our resources of fabric paint, wool, sequins etc. Very exciting. If anyone has any other ideas or if you are one of my friends and you fancy coming to any of our events email me cos they're all open house.
I am starving... I've just made a cup of tea and while I was there dipped my finger in the marmite pot and had a scoop to keep me going. I think that says something quite scary about me and my obsessive love of marmite. I am going to have to start buying loaves of bread every week. Or even better, some muffins, bring in some cooked sausages from home, get some slices of processed cheese and Bob's your uncle! Home made sausage and cheese breakfast muffins... Mmmm, I am going to turn into such a lard arse. I think I should start making my own salad for lunch as well, rather than spending £3.45 in Benjys every day. Yes, I am going through a financial revolution....
Going to continue planning our Xmas festivities now...
